Hungary have not played a World Cup since 1998, one of the longest absences in the field. Dorka Juhász of the Minnesota Lynx is familar to US fans: she also played collegiately at Ohio State and UConn. Phoenix drafted point guard Eszter Rátkai in 2026. Since she elected to remain in Europe this season, the World Cup will be the first opportunity for most WNBA fans to see the nineteen year-old in action.
